Read moreThe EPOS 25.4 release introduces new apps for SAP administration: automate patching for MaxDB, easily set HANA parameters, and distribute transports across multiple clients – including job chains for minimal downtime and an optimized Security Notes Collector that works without a reference system.
In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the innovations in the EPOS Automation Apps. Updates and enhancements to BlueCopy (our EPOS app for fully automated SAP system copies) and the EPOS Framework will be featured in dedicated upcoming posts.
EPOS Automation

BlueCopy (Our EPOS app for fully automated SAP system copies)
- Schedule system copies periodically via the internal scheduler
- Extended email notification functionality
- Additional standard SAP tasks included
- Simplified UserExits via plugins
EPOS Reporting
- Featuring even more information now
EPOS Framework
- New ad-hoc tasks like SAP User Management in the Admin Engine
- Enhanced performance
- Minimized downtime during patching (first step) – job chains
With the new MaxDB Update App, MaxDB systems can now be patched directly via EPOS. The interface and operating logic follow the familiar structure of our existing database update apps – making onboarding quick and intuitive.
Setting HANA parameters is now significantly simplified through a dedicated app. Configuration is centralized and traceable – all directly within EPOS.
Need to distribute transports across your landscape? Want to distribute roles, printers, or customizations across multiple SAP clients?
The new SAP Transports App enables you to perform transports across systems – with support for different modes per target client.
Der SecNotes Collector (SAP Security Notes Collector) no longer requires a dedicated reference system. As soon as a valid S-User is stored in the Password Safe, EPOS fetches and reads the relevant data directly from the SAP pages (me.sap.com) – faster and easier than ever before.
Processes involving multiple consecutive jobs can now be executed in tighter sequence: by linking jobs using the postjobid
expert parameter, the next job starts immediately after the previous one completes successfully – significantly reducing wait times between steps.
You’ll need two jobs, each with a successful checkup, and the expert parameter CMD Parameter: postjobid=<jobid>
