The features and improvements in this latest release are designed with a focus on enhancing efficiency and usability for SAP Basis professionals.
Here are some of the key highlights:
With the latest EPOS Release 24.9, we’re introducing a suite of enhancements and new functionalities designed to simplify and streamline daily workflows for SAP Basis teams. Here is an overview of the latest features crafted specifically for SAP Basis administrators.
SAP Task Lists are now integrated into BlueCopy, allowing for an even smoother and more efficient execution of system copies.
Messages can now be set up in a BlueCopy job via the SM02 option during a copy, ensuring that essential information is readily available for users and displayed at the appropriate time.
To keep up with changes in SAP applications and databases, we’ve added support for Oracle Pluggable Databases and Azure BLOB Storage for MS SQL in BlueCopy. TableSets are also continuously updated to meet evolving requirements.
The new version enables convenient administration of BlueClone via the WebUI, a significant step forward in user experience.
Release 24.9 introduces new automation apps, such as the database patch for Sybase ASE and options for setting database parameters, providing greater flexibility and control.
Our HANA Update App now supports “near zero downtime,” reducing downtime during updates to an absolute minimum. In addition to HANA updates, SAP-recommended database parameters can also be automatically adjusted.
Centralize your destination management with the new destination repository, providing an efficient and organized approach.
The introduction of the admin engine allows for ad-hoc actions in the system. Start an SAP system with a single click or create a system message. This is just the beginning – the admin engine will continue to evolve in future releases!
For example: the Kernel Update App now allows housekeeping of old backups via parameters, helping you optimize your resources.
Configurations can now be edited directly within the UI, without needing to manually change files on the EPOS server – a major improvement in convenience.
Collector displays have been improved, showing clearly whether data was successfully collected (Data Collected) or if an error occurred (Collector Failed).
The Password Safe Assistant now supports DBonly and SAPonly systems, offering a more comprehensive security solution.
In addition to the major features mentioned, there are many smaller optimizations that further increase efficiency and usability.
